Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa Lahaina, Lahaina

During my recent stay at this hotel, I noticed a mix of positives and negatives. On the upside, the staff were exceptional, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay, and the views were breathtaking. However, the rooms felt somewhat dated, which detracted from the experience, particularly in the bathroom where there was a persistent odor. Plus, the need to rush in the morning to claim a good spot by the pool was less than ideal.

I had a memorable stay at the Hyatt Regency Maui, where the stunning pools and engaging wildlife truly elevated my vacation experience. The spacious, recently renovated rooms were a delight, though dining options had a mixed reception. While the staff were attentive and welcoming, I found that some areas need improvement, particularly the luau and room prices considering the age of some facilities.

Our stay at the resort began on a high note with beautiful views of the ocean, but it was marred by unprofessional service on our final day and some maintenance issues around the property. The activities offered were enjoyable, and the pools were definitely a highlight, but the overall experience fell short due to dated rooms and a few disappointments with dining options. It’s worth considering other hotels for a better value.

The staff made every effort to make us feel welcomed and went the extra mile to ensure our comfort. On the downside, while the suite was great, I did notice that some of the regular rooms could use a little updating. Overall, we found our visit to be memorable and great value for a family vacation.
